Migraine headache pain is a severe pain which is described as burning or pulsating pain increases by regular physical activity, hurting, or lowering the head. Those who suffer from migraine are often felt exhausted and feeble after the disappearing of headache. A migraine headache normally starts at one side of the head, and then it scatters and generates in intensity over 1 to 2 hours and then gradually comes down. It can appear up to 24 hours but in some cases it remains for various days. The symptoms of migraine include nausea, vomiting, sensitivity to light (photophobia), or sensitivity to sound (phonophobia), cold hand and feet.

Phases Of Migraine - Understand Them Carefully

Broadly there are four phases of a migraine attack which generally do not undergo by all migraine victims. But still they should know about its all stages. The stages include:

  1. The prodrome that happened hours or days before headache.
  2. The aura that instantly precedes the headache.
  3. The pain phase or headache phase.
  4. The postdrome.

Migraine Headache - Understand It Carefully

Migraine pain is one of the most common problems generally see in the emergency department. It is happened due to change in brain and blood vessels around the brain. It is a form of vascular headache which is caused due to enlargement of blood vessels (vasodilatation) and the chemical release from the nerve fibers that gather around the blood vessels. At the time of migraine attack the temporal artery enlarges due to which nerves around the artery stretches which results in chemical release from the nerve fiber that further cause inflammation and enlargement of the artery and result in severe pain.
