There are some positive findings about the chocolates that may astound the people who take chocolates as an unhealthy food.

  • Chocolate includes antibacterial agent and phenyl ethylamine that helps to prevent tooth decay and elevate the mood as well.
  • The sensational smell of chocolate can raise theta brain waves which results in the relaxation of mind and soul.
  • Before meal, take a cup of hot chocolate that can help to reduce the appetite.
  • Men who love to eat chocolate everyday have an advantage of living a longer life than those who do not eat chocolates.
  • Chocolates raise the levels of antioxidants in the blood and build up the brainpower.
  • Chocolates contain neurotransmitter and serotonin that help to lower down the level of anxiety and depression.

Researchers have showed that the high blood pressure people should take flavonol-rich dark chocolate that can reduce the blood pressure and provide cardiovascular benefits. Flavonoid is highly rich in foods like fruits, vegetables, tea, and red wine.

There are some people who avoid the intake of chocolate because they fear from one of the ingredients of chocolate; cocoa butter. They regard it as an unhealthy fat. Indeed, this is a myth as coca butter is healthy for body that is made up of healthy fatty acids like oleic acid, stearic and palmitic acids. It contains vitamins like A, B1, C, D, potassium, sodium and iron.

If you are a die hard fan of chocolates but still stay away from eating your favorite chocolates then the above positive features of chocolates can definitely remove your myths about chocolates.

    hooray! ever since i was little, i have loved eating chocolates. my favorite is dark chocolates filled with mint or cognac, hehe.

    i’ve also read many articles before saying that it makes your face break out, which fortunately, even with all the amount i’m eating, i haven’t had the chance to experience.

    knowing this, i’ll be eating more. let’s celebrate… bring out the chocolates! :)
