I love garlic, and used to give it to my children. I do wonder how much of its nutrients are lost when it’s cooked; raw garlic is not something I eat often.

Garlic is definitely good stuff
My father-in-law eats the cloves raw, which I can’t do. Instead I bake it with olive oil, salt and pepper, and then eat it that way. Yum!

most of the viands here in the Philippines require garlic that’s why taking large quantities of it is not a question. at home we usually cook our meals with garlic, undermining the taste though, we also believe in its medicinal properties. very nice info you have here

Garlic is great pickled also. Just peel, put in a clean sterilized jar, and pour hot vinegar water or pickle juice over it. Try to get the same size garlic in each jar so that they will cook to about the same degree. Love the taste, and great for you. Love it with sandwiches, meals or whatever…Enjoy!!
