WHO Meet To Study The Impact Of Climate Change On Human Health

Word Health Organization (WHO) has conducted a meet to identify the key areas about how climate change can impact on human heath. They have also decided for a plan of action and guidelines by which they can concentrate on these key areas.

In this meeting experts have identified five priority research areas. For this they have concentrate on factor that can influence change in climate such as economic development and urbanization which can create a major impact on climate change. They will also study the implications of mitigation and adaptation policies on non-health sectors and boosting public health systems’ ability to address climate change-related risks.

More than 80 researchers from different countries gather at Madrid, Spain. All these members have given their recommendations and asked the agency to strengthen the evidence base for policy action to be taken.

Sources said “The amount of scientific research into the links between climate change and health lag far behind studies on such issues as air pollution and smoking”.
